Concept Maps to improve learning

Concept Maps are known to improve student learning and there are numerous apps available to assist in producing them from scratch. Inspiration is loaded on all the University computers and Mindmup is a free download and happens to be my favourite. But how about an app that will quickly creating a concept map with relevant content. Wouldn’t that be good and a great time saver? It could give the students an immediate overview of the topic with minimum effort. So in these days of “there will be an app for that”, I spent a bit of time hunting out a concept map creator. The quick solution I found was InstaGrok. They advertise it as providing the ability to “Research any topic with an interactive concept map, that you can customize and share”. Try it at I found it fascinating and I’m sure you will too.
