Learning Innovation Top Tip: WordPress

WordPress is possibly the most used software package for creating blogs and designing websites but to incorporate it within normal teaching has been cumbersome as each student needs to have an account created and they may not set up the sites in a manner that makes them easy to access and manage. Well now these issues have been eliminated.

To allow the adoption of WordPress to be as simple as possible, Learning Innovation and ITDS have integrated WordPress within Moodle. It is accessed by selecting Add an activity> External Tool> Enter an Activity Name> From the External tool type drop down menu select UWSWordpress> Click Save and return to module. You can determine if you are making a wordpress site available for a group of students or for an individual student and when they access the site their account is automatically created.
